Conjunction

Conjunction definition: Word which merely joins together sentences, and sometimes words known as conjunction. Conjunction make sentences more compact.
Example:
  1. Our hoard is little, but our hearts are great.
  2. She must weep, or she will die.
  3. Three and three make sir.
Note: Bold letters are conjunctions because they join sentences. In the first two examples conjunction join together two sentences in the last example conjunction joins together two words.
Types of Conjunction
1. Coordinating conjunctions: Conjunction which connect two or more nouns, pronouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, or preposition known as coordinating conjunction.
Note: For, And, Nor, But, Or, Yet, so (FANBOYS) are coordinating conjunctions.
1. Ali and Zeeshan are best friends.
2. I am searching for a job.
3. He stumbled but didn’t fall.
Note: Bold words are coordinating conjunctions.
2. Correlative conjunctions:Conjunctions which are used in a set known as a correlative conjunction.
Example:
1. Either…or: Either take it orleave it.
2. Both…and: we both love andhonor him.
3. Though…yet: Though she is suffering much pain, yet she does not complain.
Note: Bold words are pairs of conjunctions that are used in one sentence.
3. Subordinating conjunctions:Conjunction which joins a clause to another on which it depends for its full meaning known as subordinating conjunction.
Example:
1. The teacher taught well because she knew the subject.
2. Will you wait till I return.
3. I waited for my friend until she came.
Note: Above bold words are subordinating conjunction.

Pronoun and its types

Pronoun Definition:  A word used in place of noun is known as pronoun. Note:  Pronoun is used in sentences to avoid repetition of the noun in a sentence over and over again. Example: Michael is at the movie with  Michael’s wife. Michael   enjoys spending time with  Michael’s wife . Note:  In the above example noun (Michael) is used over and over again, to avoid such repetition we can simply replace this noun with pronouns like he, his, her.
