TYPES OF VERB

Verb Definition:  The action or “doing” word in a sentence known as a verb. Verb is the most important word in a sentence. Examples: The boy  kicks  the football. He  ran, jumped  and  danced . Alia  laughs  loudly. Note:  Bold words shows action that’s why known as verb. They perform an important role in a sentence. TYPES OF VERBS 1.Stative Verb:  Verbs that shows situation known as stative verb. They are be, like, have, think, own. Examples: I  have  a large family. Hira  likes  ice cream. Be  like Michael. Note:  Have, likes, be, are stative verbs. 2.Action Verbs:  Verbs which show physical action known as action verbs. Jumping, cooking, dancing, shouting are action verbs. Examples: He is  jumping . TYPES OF INTERJECTION

Interjection Definition:  Words that are used to express sudden feelings or emotions are called interjections. Such words as Hello! Alas! Hurrah! Ah! Etc. are called interjections. Examples: Hi!  What’s going on? Hush!  Don’t make a noise. Ah!  Have they gone now? Note:  Bold words are interjection because they show our expression. TYPES OF INTERJECTIONS 1.Interjections for Greeting: They are used as a sign of welcome or recognition. these include: Hello! Sup! Hi! Wassup! etc. Examples: Hi!  I am Rishba. Sup!  Can we talk? Hey!  Nice to meet you. Note:  Bold words are interjections being used for greeting. 2. Interjections for Joy:  These interjections are used for great pleasure and happiness these include: Hurrah! Pronoun and its types

Pronoun Definition:  A word used in place of noun is known as pronoun. Note:  Pronoun is used in sentences to avoid repetition of the noun in a sentence over and over again. Example: Michael is at the movie with  Michael’s wife. Michael   enjoys spending time with  Michael’s wife . Note:  In the above example noun (Michael) is used over and over again, to avoid such repetition we can simply replace this noun with pronouns like he, his, her. ADVERB AND TYPES OF ADVERB Adverb Definition:  Word which modifies the meaning of a verb, an adjective and another adverb known as adverb. The words quickly, very, quite are adverbs. Note:  Adverb mostly answer when? where? How? Why? What condition? How much? How often? Examples: John runs  quickly . This is a  very  sweet apple. Melvin reads  quite  clearly. Conjunction

Conjunction definition:  Word which merely joins together sentences, and sometimes words known as conjunction. Conjunction make sentences more compact. Example: Our hoard is little,  but  our hearts are great. She must weep,  or  she will die. Three  and  three make sir. Note:  Bold letters are conjunctions because they join sentences. In the first two examples conjunction join together two sentences in the last example conjunction joins together two words. Types of Conjunction 1. Coordinating conjunctions:  Conjunction which connect two or more nouns, pronouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, or preposition known as coordinating conjunction. ADJECTIVES AND ITS TYPES Definition:  A word that is used to describe or qualify or modify or add to the meaning of a noun or pronoun is known as an adjective. Example: There are  three, small, black, wooden  chairs in a room. A  big, red, dump  truck hit a  parked, little, red  car. I saw a  tall, handsome, ethical  boy in  blue jeans . Note : Bold letters are adjectives because in the first example three adjectives are used for noun chair in the second example three adjectives used for car and truck and in the last four adjectives describe boy.
