PREPOSITION AND ITS TYPES Definition Preposition:  The word which shows the position of one thing with reference to other known as preposition. It is placed before after noun or pronoun. It Always governs a noun or pronoun as an object. Usually, prepositions are by, to, like, about, through, over, with, on, in, of, etc. Example: There is a goat  in  the field. She is fond  of  milkshake. John jumped  off  the chair. Note:  Given bold words are prepositions.
