Interjection Definition: Words that are used to express sudden feelings or emotions are called interjections. Such words as Hello! Alas! Hurrah! Ah! Etc. are called interjections.
Examples:
- Hi! What’s going on?
- Hush! Don’t make a noise.
- Ah! Have they gone now?

TYPES OF INTERJECTIONS
1.Interjections for Greeting:They are used as a sign of welcome or recognition. these include: Hello! Sup! Hi! Wassup! etc.
Examples:
- Hi! I am Rishba.
- Sup! Can we talk?
- Hey! Nice to meet you.

2. Interjections for Joy: These interjections are used for great pleasure and happiness these include: Hurrah! Hip Hip Hurray! Wow! etc.

3.Interjections for Approval:These interjections show the action of approving something. these include: Bravo! wonderful! Brilliant! Well done!
Examples:
- Bravo! You are awarded with the first rank.
- Well done! You did excellent.
- Brilliant! Your work is outstanding.

4.Interjections for Surprise: These interjections show an unexpected or astonishing event. these include: Ha! , Ah! , Eh! , Oh! , Hey! , What! etc.

- What! He died.
- Oh! You did this, I can’t admit.

5. Interjection for Grief/Pain:These interjections are used for intense sorrow. these include: Oh! , Ah! , Alas! , Ouch! etc.

- Alas! I will be no more there.

6. Interjections for Attention:These interjections are used to draw the attention of somebody. such as Look! Listen! Behold! Hush! etc.
